The progression of glaucoma is monitored with a state-of-the-art computerized instrument called a  “Visual Filed Analyzer”.  This test maps the peripheral vision, allowing the doctor to determine the extent of damage from glaucoma.  As the disease is followed, this measures the effectiveness of the treatment.  This test is repeated once or twice a year to verify that the intraocular pressure is being adequately controlled.
