• American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) - ATCC provides biological products, technical services, and educational programs to organizations worldwide. ATCC is to acquires, authenticates, preserves, develops, and distributes biological materials, information, technology, intellectual property, and standards for the advancement, validation, and application of scientific knowledge.

• Drug InfoNet Drug InfoNet provides pharmaceutical and healthcare information and useful links.

• Gene Browser - The Biotechnology and Gene Therapy Web 'Cite' - Website sponsored by Nature Technology Corporation, featuring a large number of hyperlinks to conferences, databases, academic institutions, methods & protocols, suppliers, etc.  (submitted 2/11/1999)

• G Protein Coupled Receptor Database Site -The G-protein Coupled Receptor Data Base, is organized and maintained by Frank Kolakowski (...) containing information on virtually every G protein-coupled receptor.

• GlaxoWellcome Pharmacology Guide -This guide covers in vitro and in vivo pharmacology, receptor binding and some molecular biological terms.  A very useful general pharmacology reference.

• GraphPad Prism - This site has useful guides to the analysis of radioligand binding data and statistical analysis, as well as useful links to other sites.   Graphpad produces software for curve fitting and analysis and statistical analysis.

• Health Index, UK is a gateway to healthcare information on the Web provided by Acumen Solutions Ltd. The site contains links to major healthcare sites and resources around the world. About 800 sites are currently listed.

• Internet Drug Index - A searchable index to drug information incorporating "fuzzy logic" to allow for misspellings, etc.

• Material Safety Data Sheet Resources - (U. Kentucky, Dept. Chem). This site provides a list of links to sites with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS forms).

• Merck Manual This is a site to access Merck publications on-line.  Currently available are The Merck Manual of Medical Information - Home Edition, and the Merck Manual of Geriatrics.  The Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy ("The Merck Manual") was last published in 1992 (16th edition) and is currently considered out-of-date, therefore Merck has removed this edition from the Internet.  The 17th edition is due in early 1999, and will be published to the Intenet in the summer of 1999. Lastly, the Merck Index is a comprehensive encyclopedia of chemicals, drugs and biologicals that contains more than 10,000 monographs.  It is available on-line by subscription only.

• National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) Access to Entrez and BLAST for nucleotide, protein, 3D structure, taxonomy and genome searches and similarity searches. Comprehensive national database resource.

• National Library of Medicine - Access to Medline search engines including PubMed and Internet Grateful Med or Medline Plus, as well as lots of other useful information and links.

• PharmWeb - with links to many internet resource for the pharma industry.

• Pedro's BioMolecular Research Tools - A Collection of WWW Links to Information and Services Useful to Molecular Biologists including: MOLECULAR BIOLOGY SEARCH AND ANALYSIS; BIBLIOGRAPHIC, TEXT, and WWW SEARCH TOOLS; and GUIDES, TUTORIALS and HELP TOOLS; links to JOURNALS and NEWSLETTERS.

• Pharmacokinetics Equations  - A guide to pharmokinetics equations published by Summit Research Solutions - a provider of software for pharmokinetics and metabolism.

• Theory and Practice of Receptor Characterization and Drug Analysis.  Excellent course manual by Richard B. Mailman, Ph.D. and Jose Boyer, Ph.D.

• The Cytokines Web - "The Cytokines Web provides leading-edge scientific information about cytokines and their receptors, including 3-D structural information and topological and evolutionary relationships. It also contains information about potential theraputic uses for some Human cytokines."

• GASNet - Global Anesthesiology Network. Lots of information on anesthesia including The Virtual Anesthesia Textbook.

• American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists - An association of pharmaceutical scientists from academia, industry, government, and other research institutions worldwide.. Founded in 1986, the goal of AAPS is to "improve human health through the development of better pharmaceuticals".

• American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics - ASPET website provides information to pharmacologists and students interested in undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral study programs in Pharmacology. 

• British Pharmacological Society focuses on promoting research and providing a forum for presentation of pharmacology information, and promoting education and training of pharmacologists.
• Chemical Industry Institute of Toxicology - A not-for-profit toxicology research institute dedicated to providing an improved scientific basis for understanding and assessing the potential adverse effects of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and consumer products on human health.
