Great Preaching

            Below are some names and sites that I highly recommend if you like great preaching and teaching.  These guys really rejuvenate me in my walk with our Lord.  Many of these homepages have links that allow you to listen online to the day's message.  Many also have audio tapes, books, videos, newsletters and all sorts of things for sale.  I suggest you check some of the titles out.  For only a few dollars you can often get some great messages on tape in areas that you would like to hear covered or explained.  Hearing the Word proclaimed and explained is of such key importance that I cannot stress enough for you to use these resources extensively in connection with your own personal Bible devotion.  It will enrich your life, I guarantee it.

            I will also suggest one further thing:  Most of these preachers can be heard on a local radio station, WKZI, 800 AM or 93.9 FM (same station).  I really recommend that you tune in a couple of times and find out if you like them.  I have listed the times I know of when you can hear each one.  For anyone who likes talk radio, this is for you!  Really do check these guys out.  They are a vital source of strength and lifeblood for me because they connect me to the Father.

John MacArthur

My favorite of all.  This guy can preach!  He is a student of the word and explains it very well.  He offers tapes and books of which I have several including his Study Bible.  I highly recommend him, especially for the more cerebral listener.  Let me know if you’d like to borrow some tapes or books sometime.

Charles Stanley

Excellent teacher and motivator.  He also offers tapes and books for sale.  I have several of his books too.  He is very good at getting to you on a personal commitment level.

Scottish guy.  I enjoy his accent as well as his awesome preaching.  Similar to MacArthur.  He makes listening enjoyable and applicable.

I list him because many people really enjoy him.  He’s okay.  I have one of his devotional books and it’s good.

Hugh Ross

Great science and the Bible ministry.  See the websites page for links and more information on Dr. Ross.  Unfortunately, he is not featured on WKZI, but does have a television show available.  His ministry is Reasons to Believe. 

Ravi Zacharius

Extremely good apologetics teacher and speaker.  His ministry is Let My People Think.  He can be heard at various times on WKZI.
