Edward Waldo [Parents] 1 was born 2 on 23 Apr 1684 in Dunstable, Massachusetts. He died on 8 Aug 1767. Edward married 2 Thankful Dimmock 1 on 28 Jun 1706 in Windham, Connecticut.

Dea. Edward Waldo* son of John Waldo and Rebecca Adams, born 1683, died 1767; married Thankful, daughter of Shubael Dimock, of Mansfield, Conn., June 28, 1706. She was born 1685, died 1757- Children, 4th generation: Shubael, Edward, Jr., Cornelius, Ann, John, Bethuel, Thankful, Joanna, Zacheus, John. Edward was deacon of the Congregational church in Scotland. The towns of Windham and Scotland were one for many years. After the town was divided the part containing Windham village and Willimantic retained the original name of Windham.

There is a document in Hartford, Conn., the original application of sundry citizens of the town of Windham, Conn., for a new county, under date of May, 1723, signed by the abovenamed Edward Waldo. He was an extensive farmer of that town. Edward and his wife, Thankful Dimock, were buried in Scotland, Conn., in what is known as the "Palmertown Burying-ground." He built a house in the town of Scotland, near the county line, about the year 1714- The house is still standing, and owned by a descendant.

Thankful Dimmock [Parents] 1 was born 2 in Mar 1682 in Barnstable, Massachusetts. She died on 13 Dec 1757 in Windham, Connecticut. Thankful married 2 Edward Waldo 1 on 28 Jun 1706 in Windham, Connecticut.

"Thomas and Elizabeth resided on the north side of Rotten March, but before 1680 Deacon King purchased Nathaniel Rawlins' farm at Stony Cove Brook, and built the house now (1936) standing in ruins."

Thomas was a deacon of the church since the death of Deacon Thomas Robinson in 1676.

"Dea. Thomas King's will, dated 1711, gives 'to son Daniel the homestead; (of Elder Thomas King, late deceased, on the neck); he allowed daughter Anne to live in the house. To son John a farm in Marshfield. To son George the farm where I now dewll, also a lot adjoining my brother Samuel Clap's land. To daughter Mercy Winslow 30£. To daughter Anne King 30£. To son Ichabod, &c.'"

Captain James Blake, at one time a Wrentham selectman, made a will in 1760. To his wife he left one third of his real estate, all the household goods (except two beds with the furniture belonging to them), and two cows for her use during her life time. His son John received land near Mr. Kenys Pond, ten acres at Dimond Hill, a cedar swamp called Stop River Swamp, his great Bible (after his wife Ann’s decease), one fire lock, his silver hilted sword, his books, and one fourth of his apparel, To his son James he gave land lying on the easterly side of the way leading from his house to George Adams’ Great Mill, one fourth of his apparel, and one halt of his fire locks, ammunition and war like stock. Forty pounds in lawful money and one fourth of his apparel and ammunition went to his son Moses, His son Solomon, his sole executor, received all his remaining real estate of land and building his saw mill and tools, his estate of cattle, horses, sheep and swine (excepting what he has given to others), his negro man Harry, his best farming tools, one fourth of his fire arms, ammunition, etc., and his cash, notes, bills, bonds and debts. Daughters Mary Man and Anne Wheaton each received L 13-6-8 and one bed and furniture. His granddaughter Mary McIntire was given L 13-6-8, her mother’s share.
