Cornelis Alberts lived from 1739 to approximately 1786. His life started in North Drachten.

When he was married, he moved with his wife to a village called Ureterp. The name of his wife was Sibbeltje Jacobs, by this time he reached the age of 17 or 18 years.

At the age of 24, Cornelis Alberts is already a widower, but 5 months later he was married again. The name of his second wife was Boukje Foekes.

He moved many times because he had a wandering profession. He also was a peat cutter. From Ureterp he moves to the following villages: Donkerbroek, Haule, back to Donkerbroek, back to Haule, North Drachten, South Drachten, and Haulerwijk.
