From the writings of Geert Flokstra: My Uncle Kor Flokstra was some sort of a salesman in Canada. He bought Dutch articles by Jan Kok Import in Toronto, load it all in his van and then visited all his Dutch customers (all emigrants). I went along with
him a few times on these trips, meeting a lot of former Friezen, Groningers, Drenten etc. These people were happy, that uncle Kor came by from time to time. They often lived on lonely farms and far away homes. Sometimes these people felt lonesome and
homesick. Uncle Kor was a welcome distraction to them. He always had the latest "news" from different emigrants and the people enjoyed talking to him. They invited him for coffee or lunch and uncle Kor was not in a hurry  at all. Uncle Kor was a
sociable person and he was fond of company.

Corrie died after 1959. Corrie married Kornelis Flokstra.
