Virginia Murdoch Leadbeater, “Gigi”, 51 of Centreville, MD, died May 28, 2014 in Hospice of Queen Anne’s, Centreville, MD.

Gigi was born on June 4, 1962, daughter of John and Susan Richardson Murdoch. She was raised in Centreville and was a 1980 graduate of Queen Anne’s County High School. She continued her education at Chesapeake College and Salisbury University and later received her master’s degree in education. Gigi had taught Art at Kent Island High School for 10 years. She was an artist and was a member of Watercolor Society of Baltimore and Kent Island Federation of the Arts.

Gigi is survived by her husband, Robert Leadbeater; her sons, Shaun Hutchins his wife Samantha, Graham Hutchins and Kyle Hutchins and his wife Melissa; her step-children, Melissa Leadbeater Jones and her husband Trey, Geoffrey Leadbeater, Matthew Leadbeater & Jessica Gulley. Gigi is also survived by her parents and her siblings, Elise Murdoch, John Murdoch, II and his wife Sharon and Scotta Higdon and her husband Cory.

Memorial service will be held Centreville United Methodist Church at 1 pm on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 and on June 22, 2014 at noon at Conquest Beach, Centreville.
