Al Friesema, age 60 of Lansing, passed away on Saturday April 10, 2010. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, nee Haan; two sons, Scott (Kerrie) and Jamie (Denise)and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Carol Felts. Al was preceded in death by his son Dale.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 14, 2010 at 11:00 AM from Bethel Christian Reformed Church 3500 Glenwood-Lansing Rd. in Lansing with Rev. Cal Aardsma and Rev. Gerrit Veenstra officiating. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery in Lansing. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 2 - 9 PM at Bethel Church (enter north doors).

Scott Friesema, age 43 of Lansing, after a courageous battle with cancer is soaring on eagles wings. He is survived by his much loved wife, Kerrie, nee De Jong: his children: Cameron, Bradley, Brian, Casey, Brett and Rebecca. His mother Phyllis,nee Haan and brother Jamie (Denise) also survive. Scott is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Marvin (Sally) De Jong; brother-in-law Steve (Lesa) De Jong and sister-in-law Marsi (Doug) Janota and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Scott is preceded in death by his father, Al and brother Dale.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 24, 2014 at 10:00 AM from Bethel Christian Reformed Church 3500 Glenwood-Lansing Rd. in Lansing, interment will follow at Memory Lane Memorial Park in Schererville. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday at Bethel Church from 2:00 - 8:00 PM.

Scott was a lifelong active member of Bethel CRC and had worked for 20 years in municipal services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dale Friesema Memorial Scholarship Fund at Trinity Christian College.
