ASH) and found her in 1861.  She is a visitor with some people called HOPKINS, wife's name Helen Maria.  This rang a bell - she was a witness at the marriage of Henry Clarke ASH and his first wife, Henry and Helen's mother.  There is also another ASH visitor called Rolen on the transcription but when I looked at the census I can see it is says Helen, so that's the grandmother of Helen and mother of Henry Clarke ASH.  They are in Shrewsbury which is where Helen (the grandmother) was born.  Interesting also to see that Helen is described as a Gentlewoman, which is what Henry Clarke ASH was on Lucille's marriage certificate - that is to say, Gentleman, not Gentlewoman!"
