General Information

Camp Fires:
Bon fires are allowed.  Please use the above ground fire pit located between the house and the boathouse.  Please exercise caution when having a bon fire.
 
Microwave:
Instructions on how to use the microwave are located on top of the microwave.
 
Telephone Use:
You may freely use the telephone for making local and long distance calls.   You are responsible for the charges associated with any international calls you make.  The telephone book is located in the drawer below the kitchen phone.
 
Internet Use:
Internet is available at the lake home.   It isn't fast, but does work.  To access the internet please contact the owners for the password.
 
Local Brochures:
Brochures regarding activities, restaurants, etc. for the area are located in 3-ring binders that are generally on the end table in the living room or sun room.
 
Smoking and Pet Policy:
No smoking is allowed within the lake home.  Due to possible allergies experienced by other guests we ask that pets camp outdoors.
 
Garbage:
Household waste must be disposed in clear plastic bags.  Clear plastic bags are located in the utility room cupboards.  Household waste can be disposed of at the dump which is located on Hwy. H midway between Hwy. D and Hwy 47.  There is a nominal charge per garbage bag at the dump.  The dump is only open Friday-Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  
 
Recyclables may go in any labeled container located in the garage.  Sorting recyclables is no longer necessary.   Please rinse out all recyclables before disposing.
 
Coffee:
Coffee is located in the cupboard.   Please feel free to help yourself.  Filters are located in the left side pantry.

Miscellaneous:

  • A card table is located in the front hall closet if you require additional table space for eating.

  • During your stay please water the flowers.  A watering can is located in the garage.
  • You are welcome to use our linens and towels.  You may launder linens and towels at the Hideaway.
  • For your comfort we recommend that you bring your own pillows.
  • If your gang is greater than 7 people, we recommend that you bring extra sleeping material, such as pillows, blankets, and sleeping bags.
