Let us take you on a memory ride through the wonderful music of the Nationally and Internationally known:
"Orquesta La Natural" is a Latin Tropical Orquesta
that was formed 4 years ago by pianist Jorge Cintron and trombonist Katherine Stubbins. The Orquesta plays a variety
of Latin music including Salsa, Merenge, Cumbia and Bachata. The group consists of some of the top national and internationally
known musicians who have played with such artists as Jose Feliciano and Celia Cruz, Andy Montanez, La Sonora Poncena, and
Milli y Los Vecinos. Singer Rochelle and Benetiz have many years of experience and success including Rochelle's
top R & B hit "Praying for An Angel." Orquesta La Natural has performed
in many of Chicago's venues including Excalibur Nightclub, Mambo Cafe, Marlons, Viva Chicago Festival, Puerto Rican Festival,
The Boricua Festival of Chicago and well as for other special events though out the tri-state area.
"MERENBANDA" is a Chicago based
band that has been entertaining crowds for the past 7 years. MERENBANDA has performed at exclusive nightclubs throughout
the Chicago area and has opened up for artist such as DLG, Victor Manuel, Tito Rojas, Grupo Mania, Ashley La Bomba, Eddie
Santiago, Ruben Blades, RAFY BURGOS and has backed up groups like Las Nenas del Swing, Son Soleil, Grupo Kaos, `The Homeboyz...etc.
With their unique sound and coreography, MERENBANDA has been recognized as Chicago's #1 Merengue Band. MERENBANDA has
won 3 Battle of The Merengue Bands held in Chicago (97, 98, tied for 1st place with LaVanda Dura in 99). Recently MERENBANDA
won the 2001 Best Local Merengue Band Award issued by Ritmo Magazine. They have played in alot of Midwestern cities
such as St. Louis, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, South Bend, Iowa and throughout Illinois.
And then there's DJ "Jammin " Juan Rios my good friend. He has been The DJ that all the people, Latinos
especially sought out for. Juan's unigue style and DJ voice has landed him positions in popular radio stations
and many popular nite clubs here in Indiana, such as Spirit's, Jansen's Landing, Neon Rodeo, The Edge and E.O.'s the casino's
dock club. His popularity is well noted.
