Singer, Song Writer Carolina Carattini

Carolina Carattini African-American/Puerto Rican Singing Sensation.  She has Been singing Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, & Latin since the age of 8 at local talent shows.  Since, then she has performed on the hit televisions shows Its Showtime at the Apollo, Jenny Jones, NBC's America's Most Talented Kid, just to name a few.   She has also done 3 commercials .  This is Carolina's 5th year performing at the Taste of Chicago.
Carolina has a new single coming out this Spring called "Shake It" written and performed by: Carolina Carattini herself.

Emerson Dance Alliance
The Emerson School for the Visual and Performing Arts in Gary,  IN.  With Carolina are some incredibly taleted dancers who have been performing together for 5 months now.  This dance troupe goes to competitions and comes home with the trophies every time. 

Singer Erica Cardona

Erica is one of three children born to Elias & Erma Cardona along with brothers Eddie and Elias.
Erica is 18 years old and a Freshman at Purdue North Central College, majoring in communications.  On her spare time she tutors learning disabled children and was the Princess of Northwest Indiana Puerto Rican Pagent Committee of 2002-2003.
She is the recipient of the Chancellor's Leadership Award and is also a committee member. 
Erica's beautiful soft singing voice maybe heard while playing with her brothers.  They are the members of the New Salsa Band "Iluziones" and have appeared at various affairs. 
Being modess she says "I'm proud of who I am and following God's plan is my goal."
Erica will perform the Puerto Rican National Anthem.

Fuerza Borinquen Dancers

Santa began her venture in Puerto Rican folkloric and modern dancing 16 yrs ago as a dancer in a Puerto Rican dance group. The following year she was advanced to a choreographer, she held that position for 1 1/2 years then became asst. director. Santa held the asst. directors position for 2 years then became the director of the group taking all of the responsibilities of the group. Santa held the position of director for that group for 6 years then decided to venture out and make her own group so that she can try different things. La Fuerza Borinquen has been around for 5 years now. La Fuerza Borinquen is a non-for-profit dance group. La Fuerza Borinquen is a Puerto Rican dance group that performs from folkloric to modern dancing. The ages of the children are 6 to 18 years old and all are from Lake County Indiana. La Fuerza Borinquen performs for church events, parades, festivals, private performances, at clubs, dances, centers, schools, colleges, and in Chicago for Christmas around the World at the Museum.  
The Dancers will perform the Folkloric Bomba Danza from Puerto Rico.
 

The Holy Rosary Mexican Folkloric Ballet
 
 

The Holy Rosary Church of the Brunswick in Gary Indiana is the home of the Mexican Ballet Folklorico.  The dance troupe has been in existence since 1997 funded by The Sisters of Victory Noll of Huntington Indiana with founder Margaret Gomez who was originally from the Verduza Ballet.  Starting with only 15 children, they have grown to over 150 children in the group today.  They have performed in various locations such as schools, churches, festivals, danced for the Mexican Ambassador and for the last 3 years in NBC's Hispanic Parade.
The Ballet performs traditional dance of Mexico.
