40th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION!
WOW! It is the first word that comes to mind when I want to describe
today's 40th Anniversary of Niles Avenue Baptist Church celebration service! The pews were full of people (way more
than usual) when we sang our first hymm "At Calvary" and the joy of the sound we made filling the entire sanctuary was WOW!
I could not believe what a joyous (loud) sound we made to the Lord! I have been a member at Niles Ave since the end
of 2003 and NEVER have we filled that sanctuary with that much wonderful music from the pews! Amen to everyone who came
to fellowship and celebrate! I would almost swear the entire city of St. Joseph could here us! Praise God.
From then on the service just got better and better with our special music from Stephen Walker, Derrick Cromwell and our special
message from former Pastor Roger Luther. Thank you gentlemen for the music and message! To those that did not
attend, you missed a special blessing for it was a special, special sound to the Lord. Amen!

EASTER
Easter Day has come and gone. There was some candy and some good food,
but I saw no Easter bunnies this time around. I don't need a special day set aside as a reminder that my Lord has risen.
He is with me every day as a reminder that he lives and is working in my life! Is He working in your life? If
you don't feel his loving presence, then drop to your knees, in private and tell him your problems. I guarantee he will
listen and work in your life. God's word says that anyone who puts their trust in Jesus, will not be disappointed.
What a wonderful promise!

COAT DRIVE - We want to bless people
this winter by providing them with a coat, hat, scarf or gloves. If you have any of these items in storage, in closets or
simply laying around in the way and you KNOW you will most likely never wear these items again, please bring them in to the
church so that they can be bundled up and given to someone who could really use them now. God bless you as you give.
FAMILY BIBLE STUDY - We want to invite you to come to our Family Bible study. You will get sound Biblical
teaching and great fellowship. It begins at 10am and we have a class just for you.
SPECIAL MUSIC - We are in need of singers and musicians for our special music for Sunday morning. If
you would like to help, please let Shirley King know or call (269) 303-0330.
JUST ASK SOMEONE - This week will you ask someone to come to church? It is easy to do. Just try and
see what happens.
REMINDER: We have a Prayer dish and Praise dish in
the foyer. All are welcome to put your requests in and we will pray over these and add them to the next bulletin for prayer.
