The long history of Niles Avenue Baptist Church (40 years +) has turned
yet another page in it's history. Pastor Randy Pearman resigned his pastoral duties effective October 27, 2007.
It is his understanding that the Lord was calling him to Bethel Church in Niles, Michigan. He will be sorely missed
by us all. The congregation at Niles Avenue wish the best for Pastor Randy and his family as God leads him in his ministry
for Jesus Christ.
The congregation has been blessed by interim pastors in the mean time as the future of Niles
Avenue Baptist Church is decided. The church building is suffering from being located in the heart of St. Joseph which
is surrounded by several much larger churches. The church has street parking only in a relatively crowded neighborhood.
I don't know what the future holds for Niles Avenue Baptist Church, God only knows that for sure.
I do know that in it's long history, it has touched the hearts and minds of many people in the community. I am always
surprised to learn of a close relative or friend that was baptised there. If it is God's will for the church doors to
remain open, the gates of hell will certainly not prevail against them!
I ask for your earnest prayer for Niles Avenue Baptist church, that it will find it's way in
this uncertain time. May her members remain faithful and true as God leads them.
