Illuvatar does not embody magic in Ghoraja Juun.
He is the guardian and caretaker of the cynoeth and the patron of
both Wizards and Sorcerers. He and his clergy are somewhat of a
magical 'police force', monitoring the use of magic and the
cynoeth throughout Ghoraja Juun. Abuse of the cynoeth can have
serious affects on both magic in an area as well as the physical
and spiritual world around it.
He encourages magical research and may reward those that discover
new magic. He despises those who would corrupt, twist and/or
pervert the cynoeth and his punishment is usually both swift and
terrible.
Illuvatar tries to maintain open relations with all of his
fellow deities though there are some he favors (Beroth, Nymdyl,
Thempys) over others. |
