Job Search Assistance
A.H.C. Barber & Beauty College will help assist students with job placement
in your selected field. Although it is to the students best interest to assist the school in its search, each instructor also
acts likes an advisor to assist the student at no cost. Placements may take months due to the employer’s discretion

The Cosmetology
training program consist of a course (1600 hours)

of the practice of cosmetology, barbering, manicuring and esthetics services;

of manicuring and pedicuring services;
(c) At least 100 hours of skills in the application of esthetics services;
(d)
Shampooing including draping, brushing, scalp manipulations, conditioning and rinsing;
(e) Scalp and hair analysis;
(f)
Hair cutting and trimming including scissors, razor, thinning shears and clippers;
(g) Hair styling including wet, dry
and thermal styling, braiding and styling aids;
(h) Cutting and trimming of facial hair including beard and mustache design
and eyebrow, ear and nose hair trimming;
(i) Artificial hair that may include extensions and fitting;
(j) Permanent
waving including sectioning, wrapping, preperm test curl, solution application, processing test curl and neutralizing;
(k)
Chemical relaxing including sectioning, strand test, and relaxer application;
(1) Hair coloring and bleaching including
predisposition test and strand test, and measurement, mixing, application and removal of chemicals;
(m) Disinfecting of
individual work stations, individual equipment and tools and proper use and storage of linens;
(n) Diseases and disorders
of the scalp, hair, skin and nails;
(o) Safety including proper use and storage of chemicals, implements and electrical
appliances;
(p) First aid as it relates to cosmetology, barbering, manicuring and esthetics; and

(b) Skin care of the face, neck and hands including hot compresses, massage,
electrical or mechanical appliances or chemical compounds;
(c) Facials;
(d) Temporary removal of superfluous hair
of the face, neck and hands by tweezing, waxing, tape, chemicals, lotions, creams, mechanical or electrical apparatus and
appliances;
(e) Disinfecting of individual work stations, individual equipment and tools and proper use and storage of
linens;
(f) Diseases and disorders of the skin of the face, neck and hands;
(g) Safety including proper use and storage
of chemicals, implements and electrical appliances;
(h) First aid as it relates to esthetics; and
(i) No more than
twenty-five percent of skills training using mannequins.
(j)
No device listed with the U.S. Food
and Drug Administration as a "prescriptive device" will be used in this class.

(e) Disinfecting of individual work station, individual equipment and tools
and proper use and storage of linens;
(f) Diseases and disorders of the nails of the hands and feet;

Instructor Training Program Offered
In this program all trainees will be supervised by a certified
instructor. The school’s instructor will be present when the instructor trainee is working from consultation.
The
instructor training program consists of a (500 hours) course.

TUITION AND STUDENT RIGHTS AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
Tuition and Fees:
The methods of payment
are based on a full payment or payment period, and not the program cost. The method of payment and terms of payment, are in
compliance with A.H.C. Barber &
Beauty College requirements. Students will meet with
the school’s administrator/owner for payments of charges. The amount covered in the agreement contract is effective
by A.H.C. Barber & Beauty
College owner. There is a $175 non-refundable deposit for book cost and
equipment. The School reserves the right to adjust tuition rates, registration fee book and supply fees related to the school
tuition.
Refund Policy:
Cancellation
by A.H.C. Barber & Beauty
College
The School has the reserve
right to cancel a class due to insufficient numbers or classroom over crowding. The School will consider the cancellation
and the student are entitled to a refund of all money paid.
Cancellation Policy before Entering Classes:
1. An applicant will receive a full refund of all money paid if he/she is not accepted
by the school.
2. Applicant may cancel an enrollment agreement by providing notice of such cancellation to the school
at its adder. The notice shall be postmarked not later than the fifth business day (excluding Sundays and Holidays) following
his/her signing this agreement or it may be personally or otherwise delivered to the student. All monies paid by an applicant
are refunded if requested within three (3) days after signing an enrollment agreement.
3. After five (5) business days
(excluding Sunday and Holidays), the school may keep the stated registration fee equal to 10 percent of the total tuition
cost, or one hundred thirty five dollars, whichever is less. “Registration Fee” refers to any fee, however named,
covering those expenses incurred by the school dealing with student applications and the student records.

POLICIES/DISCLOSURES
Zero Tolerance Weapon Policy
The applicant/student understands that under no circumstance that he/she will be allowed to carry on his/her
person, be in possession of, have in his/her or someone else’s vehicle, or to have on A.H.C. Barber & Beauty College
property any type of firearm, weapon or anything that can be used as a weapon.
The applicant/student understands that
if he/she violates the school policy, he/she will be terminated immediately with no opportunity to return to A.H.C. Barber & Beauty College.
Drug-Free Policy
A.H.C. Barber & Beauty College policy on substance abuse to liquor
laws and drug abuse violations and remains enforced. All students and employees are provided with this policy, which requires
signed acknowledgment.
Provisions of the U.S. Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988, and the Drug-Free School and Communities
Act-Higher Education Drug-Free School and Campus Act of 1990 requires A.H.C. Barber & Beauty College to adopt a substance
abuse policy, and to promulgate its provisions and procedures in his/her entirety in the School’s catalog.
The purpose
of this policy is to communicate the concern of A.H.C. Barber
& Beauty College regarding the health and safety of its employees
and students, the desire for an efficient and effective work force, and the intent to comply with all appropriate federal,
state, and local regulations regarding substance abuse in A.H.C.
Barber & Beauty College.
Sexual Harassment
Preamble:
Sexual harassment in any form shall not be tolerated at A.H.C. Barber & Beauty College.
It is a form of sexual discrimination prohibited by the Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and the Title VII of
the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Applicability:
This policy applies to all School students, faculty, administrators, staff members, and employees,
as well as, vendors and guests on campus.

Definition of Sexual Harassment:
Sexual Harassment is defined as unwelcome sexual advance, request, for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct
of a sexual nature, it is harassment when:
Submission to or rejection of such conduct is made either explicitly or
simplicity a term or condition of an individual’s academic performance or employment;
• Submission to or rejection
of such conduct by an individual is used as the basis for decisions about academic evaluation, employment, promotion, transfer,
selection for training, performance evaluation, or selection for academic awards and benefits, etc.;
• Such conduct
has the purpose or effect of creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive educational or work environment, or substantially
interferes with a student’s academic or an employee’s work performance.
• Sexual harassment manifests
itself in several forms. This behavior may include but not limited to the following:
1. Conduct or comments direct at
an individual, based on the individual’s gender, that is abusive in nature;
2. Sexual innuendoes in the guise of
humor to coerce sexual favors;
3. Sexual teasing, jokes, remarks or questions;
4. Sexual remarks about a person’s
body, clothing or behavior;
5. Patting,
pinching, or other unwanted touching of another’s body;
6. Starting in a sexually suggestive manner;
7. Uninvited
letters and telephone calls;
8. Uninvited pressure for dates;
9. Inappropriate and offensive sexual advances;

Solicitation of sexual favors or other sexually related behavior by promise of rewards;
11. Coercion of sexual activity
by threat of punishment; or
12.Sexual crimes, including rape, acquaintance rape, attempted rape or sexual assault.

Any individual who becomes aware of an incident of sexual harassment
has a duty to report it to the school as soon as possible.
