The Magnavibe was inspired by the early 1960's vibrato guitar effect (not the
typical tremolo which is just pulse modulation). The Magnatone amp was known for having that amazing wobbly sound.
Setting out to put that type of sound in a box and use it with any amp took much experimenting. The results are
excellent. This is not a plain one dimensional vibrato such as a chorus pedal with the dry mix removed. Delay
chips weren't even used back then. Nor is it just another uni-vibe clone, but a unique sound with that classic unique
tone. Adding spring reverb or delay after the vibrato sounds especially good. Check out the sound clips below.
If you are like me, you are a fuzz hog. There are many types and varieties which react
differently to your picking. The Fuzz Hog pedal is a new fuzz effect, not a clone or a modded fuzz. There is some magic
to this pedal in the tone and the way it reacts to picking dynamics. It sounds great for both leads and rhythym. Chords
sound nice and fat and your guitar tone cuts through the square wave nicely. Listen to the song 'Varoom!' at youtube (below).
On the chorus you'll notice a wah in a fixed position in front of the fuzz. This effect can be accomplished by turning down
your guitar volume to 8 or 9 or the wah will over power the fuzz. Like most fuzz pedals, the Fuzz Hog likes to be first in
the signal chain. The silicon transistors are biased very well and cleans up when turning down the volume on you guitar. I
hope you enjoy the pedal as much as I do. Thanks for reading. ,Jered
The controls are pretty simple: volume and gain. The circuit is all analog and true bypass. High quality components used. Much care is taken to make sure each unit sounds consistently the same. The finish is a powder-coat plus baked on logo/print. It can be powered by a 9V battery or 9V+ adapter. The power jack's center is negative and is the typical barrel size. (Adapter not included). 2 year warranty.
