INTRODUCTION
The West Almanor Mutual Water Company (WAMWCo) is the water supplier for the Lake Almanor West subdivision, a 600+ acre development in northern Plumas County, California. WAMWCo is a private, non-profit corporation whose shareholders (“members”) are the property owners at Lake Almanor West. The company draws water from several on-site wells, which fill storage tanks located at the highest point in the development. Water is provided by gravity flow to the residential lots by way of conventional underground service mains and metered connections. The service mains also supply a network of fire hydrants.
