Pictures

I need folks to send me their ancestors' pictures.  This can be done be sending images to me by e-mail in a .tiff or .jpeg (.jpg) file format for those who are familiar in scanning images with their computers.  The other option is to send the pictures in the mail.  I can scan the pictures and  send the pictures back to you.

However, there is a risk in sending priceless pictures through the mail  system.  If you do not want to take the chance in sending the images by mail, you can go to Kinko's which give you the option of either paying someone to scan images for you into a CD or rent their computer with a scanner which allow you to scan the images.  Also there are some photo processing firms can scan your images into a CD for a fee.  It certainly makes more sense to send a CD instead of photographs.  A destroyed CD is not as a great loss compared to a destroyed photograph.  Please send me an e-mail for my address if you wish to send me a package.

If the cost of getting the images scanned into a CD is too high, please let me know.  We can do some fund raising among ourselves.  The main thing is to have this important aspect of family history to be available to all related family members.

Getting images from copies instead of original pictures often mean a poorer quality image .  For the sake of getting good quality pictures, I would like to take digital images from the original pictures.  I know there are pictures we can make available for everyone.  Below, I have pictures but I hope to have photos of our descendents as well.

Also, pictures can be take of objects such as Otis' wooden sculptures and can be posted here.  Digital cameras are an excellent tool to capture digital images which makes it easy to send me digital images as an attachment to e-mail.

  Pictures of Danner clan.  Here are the photos on my paternal line.

  Pictures of the Middy clan.  My grandmother was kind to give me photographs from my grandfather's family.

  Pictures of the Dickensheets clan.  Again, my mother gave me some photos from her family.

  Pictures of my development years.  I think my daughters and the folks who know me in person may get a kick out of these pictures.

  Pictures of my family.  My family has been a blessing to me and when I see these photos, it brings warm memories to my heart.

  Pictures from Sidney Herald newsletters.  I grew up in a small town,  Sidney Montana.  In a small town, there is a good chance for a family member to appear in the local newspaper.  I hired a researcher who went through the old Sidney Herald publications and here are pictures from the newspaper which contains useful historical information.

  Pictures from 1997 summer camp.  As a father, I had the privilege to take my oldest daughter for a summer camping trip in 1997. This gave her the wonderful opportunity to learn to drive on the back country roads and the priceless memory of catching her first fish.

  Pictures from 1996 summer camp.  In 1996, I was able to go on a fishing trip with my father and Uncle Bob to the general vicinity of Kamloop, British Columbia to try our luck to fish the legendary Kamloop trout.  Even though the three of us were hard luck fishermen, we still had a good time.
