On Thursday, May 29th a meeting was held at the Unitarian Church
and the Park Department explained how Foster Park was to be restored after the Flood Wall Project. It was their hope
to begin that work in the 'late' fall.
On March 26th the City met with the neighborhoods at the Unitarian
Church and presented an overview of the current project which began during the winter and was interupted during the highwater
incident of 2008. A status report was provided and a very meaningful Question and Answer session followed. The
City was represented by the City Engineer, Manager of Public Works, Michael Kinder & Sons (contractor) , Park Board, DLZ
(consultants) and others. Several nearby Neighborhood associations were also present.
