Change in Security Director
Tom Castle has become our new "security director".  It has been over a period of several years that Dean Zimmerman has been involved with our security and done an excellent job.  Our relationship with STS has never been greater and Dean has provided a dedication to the task that may never be fully known.. but is greatly appreciated.

However, Dean has earned and deserves a break from those duties and Tom has graciously agreed to "give it a try".  As we see Tom around, let's let him know that we're happy that we have neighbors like him that are involved and want to take an active part in our community.  Let's all stand behind Tom and give him our support.

Please be sure to do the same for Dean who has had this responsibility for so long.  He too has given of himself and is a valuable asset to our association. Well Done Dean !  Thank you for your service and looking forward to many, many more years of working with you as a member of the board.

Flood Wall/Greenway Restoration Meetings
On Thursday, May 29th a meeting was held at the Unitarian Church and the Park Department explained how Foster Park was to be restored after the Flood Wall Project.  It was their hope to begin that work in the 'late' fall.

On March 26th the City met with the neighborhoods at the Unitarian Church and presented an overview of the current project which began during the winter and was interupted during the highwater incident of 2008.  A status report was provided and a very meaningful Question and Answer session followed.  The City was represented by the City Engineer, Manager of Public Works, Michael Kinder & Sons (contractor) , Park Board, DLZ (consultants) and others.  Several nearby Neighborhood associations were also present.
