We have presented to schools
and classrooms across the Midwest and Florida,
and we continue to receive wonderful feedback
from the educators who organize these events.
We provide this service free of charge,
and are always excited to have the opportunity
to speak at new venues.

Dear Friends-
I am the Drivers Education
classroom instructor for Richmond Community
Schools in Richmond, Indiana. I have had
the pleasure of knowing Ron Pownell for
about two years. I traditionally have scheduled
a variety of speakers to visit my class
to share in their expertise. In trying to
cover all the bases, so to speak, Ive
had state police, insurance agents, truck
drivers supervisors, lawyers, and
car salesman speak in front of my classes.
Then, I heard about Rons
presentation. Finally, I thought, here is
someone a parent who had lost a precious
daughter because of another drivers
mistake. I knew that Rons perspective
as a grieving parent would represent a vital
role in exposing beginning drivers to another
group of people who are most tragically
affected when a terrible motor vehicle accident
takes a life.
Ron tells, in a very intimate
way, how a parent truly feels when they
will no longer be able to see, share, and
experience life with their loved one. I
see looks of astonishment and sorrow on
the faces of my sophomore students. I know
he makes a great impact on them.
The B.E.T.H. Foundation
(which was his daughters name who
was killed, and also stands for Bring Every
Teen Home) is Rons commitment to educating
young drivers of the potential danger that
exists while driving on public highways
across America.
I salute Ron Pownell and
the efforts he continues to make. I also
support the B.E.T.H. Foundation financially.
I would encourage anybody to give support
as well. I dont feel we can afford
not to.
Yours Truly,
Steven R. Moore, Drivers Education Instructor
Richmond Senior High School
Mr. Pownell-
I was hesitant to ask
you to speak to my class on such short notice,
however with Spring Break quickly approaching
I thought they needed to be reminded of
driving safely.
The morning after your
presentation, it was very foggy in our area.
The students came to me through the day
and told me how much more aware they were
of their surroundings on the way to school.
You impacted students in a special way.
Please continue your presentations. It might
save many lives.
Thank you and God Bless-

"I
thought you did a wonderful job telling
my driver's education class about your
story. Your daughter Beth seemed like
the kind of girl who wanted everyone
to be happy and I'm sure that if she
was still here today, she would be doing
so much good for the world. I just hope
they got the message because I know
I did. Your story and other people's
stories that I have heard have made
me want to be so careful when driving.
I am going to do my very best keeping
myself, my passengers, and other drivers
safe when I get the "privilege"
of receiving my driver's license. I
can't believe some people don't realize
that they are putting not only themselves
at a major risk, but other people as
well. I just want to thank you for coming
to our school because it was really
helpful and kind of you to share your
story with us." |

"I
really got a lot out of your speaking
and presentation. I now realize how
important it is to drive smart and safely
while I am on the road. It helped me
understand more about safe driving by
listening to you speak about something
that could possibly happen to me. " |

"I
thought your presentation and the site
for BETH foundation was incredible.
I am sorry for your loss, but I think
you are dealing with it in the greatest
way imaginable. I am glad someone cares
about people's lives the way you do.
I hope you are as successful as you
have been. Thank you for visiting our
school, and showing us some first hand
experience with driving" |
