Material Handler
We are looking for THE BEST Injection Molding Plastic Raw Material Handler
with a very high skill level. Applicants must have a good understanding of primary and auxillary injection molding equipment.
Primary work will be accurately mixing, transporting, and storing engineering materials. Focus is on system/handling procedure
development and confirmation of moisture content using loss-on-weight and Karl Fischer methods. Very independent job environment.
Starting pay is $15-20/HR depending on demonstrated ability.
Required Skills:
-Read/Write English
-Good Vision
for Part/Machine Inspection
-Good General Math Skills (percentages, proportions, unit conversion, basic algebra, weighted
averages)
-Understand metric system
-Understand and use basic measurment equipment (calipers, scales, thermocouples,
etc.)
-Operate multiple styles of drying equipment including dessicant hopper and vacuum oven
-Lift 50lbs frequently
-Stand all day to work
Preffered Skills:
-Understand Moisture in Plastics
-Understand Industry Terminology
(shear rate, viscosity, melt-flow rate, molecular weight, oxidation, etc.)
-Understand effects of moisture present in
plastic on finished parts both before and after drying and molding process
-Understand Molecular Weight and what affects
Molecular Weight in the plastic molding process
-Understand Viscosity and what affects Viscosity in the plastic molding
process
-Ability to trace cause and effect on process development (i.e. ability to predict results, ability to trace problems
to root causes)
-Good understanding of process requirements for different plastics
-Good understanding of quality
-Good understanding of risk management
-Detail Oriented Focus
-Ability to maintain a high level of quality work
-High awareness
-Comprehensive understanding of processes (you must be able to visualize and understand the flow of
the entire process we are involved in from purchasing raw material through final delivery to the customer)
We
are looking for a self-managing person that likes to work independently. Our company is very fast-pacced and we need people
with a very high level of competency.
Basically, we are looking for the best plastic raw material handler in the area.
If you have not worked extensively at every step of the process (from material storage, identification, mixing, drying, testing,
validating the process, through final inspection of molded parts) you will not be a good candidate for this position. This
is a rewarding job for a person that likes to work independently.
If you have a love for precision and an interest
in science this is a good opportunity to continue to learn about how polymers react with water and to develop best practices
for drying and storing raw materials. We work with a wide variety of engineering materials and composites including proprietary
polymer blends and matrix/fiber combinations.
