born May 7, 1886, in Columbus, Ohio, the fourth of five children son of: John Allen Gregg (born October 1849 in Madison County, Ohio) and Victoria G. (Kell) Gregg (born August 12, 1856, in Prairie, Ohio; died August 26, 1904, in Bay City, Michigan) married Florence Ellen "Flossie" Plush on August 16, 1905, in Bay City Carl and Florence had eleven children: Ivan, Ivaline, twins Douglas and Donald, Harry, twins Daisy and Dale, Adele, Zona, Norma, and Ruby worked as a coal miner and as a house painter died November 27, 1936, in an automobile accident in Bay City buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bay City

Carl Cressman Gregg is born in Columbus, Ohio, on May 7, 1886. He is the fourth of five children. Carl's parents, John and Victoria, were both born in Ohio and married around 1873. Their children are:

• Carrie Adeline Gregg -- born September 3, 1874, in Ohio. She marries Fred W. Braman (born February 1874) on August 6, 1895, in Caro, Michigan. They have six children - {name?}, Everett, Wright, Verne, Doris, and Fredrick. Aunt Carrie dies May 14, 1958.
  
• Pearl S. Gregg -- born around 1877 in Ohio. He marries Millie Barnes on December 5, 1894, in Quanicassee, Michigan.
  
• John Samuel Gregg -- born around 1879 in Ohio. He marries Loretta Myers (born August 26, 1880) on May 16, 1899, in Bay City, Michigan. John later marries Josephine Furtoro on March 31, 1902, in Midland, Michigan. Uncle John dies before 1935.
  
• Carl Cressman Gregg -- born in May 7, 1886, in Columbus, Ohio. He marries Florence Ellen Plush on August 16, 1905, in Bay City. They have eleven children. Grandpa Carl dies November 27, 1936.
  
• Earl "Sonny" Gregg -- born November 28, 1888, in Bay City. He marries Myrtle M. Arnott on August 13, 1906, in Carrollton, Michigan. Earl later marries Johanna B. King on September 20, 1910, in Bay City. Earl and Johanna have six children - Beulah, Wilma, Beverly, Earl (dies at 1 year), Lillian, and Earl. Uncle Earl dies after 1930.
  

There may have been a sixth child, Ada Gregg born around 1897 in Michigan, but this has not been confirmed.

In 1890, John and Victoria's family lives at 410 N. Catharine in Bay City, Michigan.

Carl Gregg dies November 27, 1936, in a rather bizarre automobile accident in Bay City. He is buried in an unmarked grave in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bay City.
