Sarah Lofgren (artistic director)
Sarah Lofgren is a Washington native, who began dancing locally at the age of ten. She acquired her B.F.A. in Dance Performance
while on a talent scholarship at Chapman University in Orange, California. While at Chapman, she had the opportunity to work
closely with a number of inspiring instructors, including Sean Greene, Cyrus Parker-Jeanette, Tiffany Billings, Nancy Dickson-Lewis,
Dale Merrill, and Jennifer Backhaus. Sarah graduated magna cum laude and with departmental honors. After graduating, she
joined Impulse Dance Company and performed with the group at many exciting venues, including Carnival in Los Angeles and the
Gulf Islands Festival in Canada. Sarah also appeared as a dancer in "Everything... (Is Never Quite Enough)", a music video
featuring Wasis Diop. Currently, Sarah is a teacher at Pacific West Performing Arts and Woodinville Gymnastics and Dance
Academy. She also choreographs for Inside Out and is a member of KDC Outreach.
Ms Hamblen-Klepper began her classical training at the Atlanta School of Ballet, under the direction of Robert Barnett
and Andrea Pell. In addition to Mr. Barnett and Ms. Pell, her teachers there included Maniya Barredo, Gaynor Grange, Stanislav
Issaev and modern technique with Carl Ratcliffe and Alex Pelham. While in Atlanta she performed in George Balanchine's The
Nutcracker and David Lichine's Graduation Ball. In 2000, Ms. Klepper received her BFA from Cornish College of the Arts in
Seattle, WA. There her primary influencing teachers included Kitty Daniels, Pat Hon, Wade Madsen, Magali Messac, Terry Sparks,
Llory Wilson, and Deborah Wolf. Since 2002, she has taught ballet and modern dance at the Maple Valley School of Ballet and
Marysville Performing Arts Center. Ms. Klepper's works have been performed by Olympic Ballet Theater, Atlanta School of Ballet
summer workshop, Maple Valley Ballet, and Chimera Dance Theater. In 2005 she became the director of Maple Valley School of
Ballet.
Kathryn Hubbard grew up in Oak Harbor, WA, where she began studying ballet, jazz, and modern dance at the Academy of
Dance under the instruction of Jan Burrow. She began her teaching and performing careers in the Academy and at the local
Whidbey Playhouse. She graduated in May of 2002 with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts
in Seattle. While there she performed for Cornish Dance Theater and served as the ballet tutor. Since then she has been
teaching ballet, pointe, and modern dance at Woodinville Dance Academy and Pacific West Performing arts, as well as choreographing
for "Inside Out", Woodinville's performing company. She has been a member of Chimera Dance Theater since it began in December
of 2004.
Krista Lofgren was born and raised in Washington where she began dancing locally at the age of seven. She has a minor
in dance from Whitworth College, as well as a BA in English literature and a second minor in music. Krista graduated with
honors from Whitworth in 2006. While there, she was a professor’s assistant for dance history and choreography. Krista
was also chosen as artistic director of Jubilation, the Whitworth dance club. Through the club she was able to teach modern
dance for two years, and also sponsor dance concerts. She is also a recipient of the Margaret Taylor Donne Award for Dance.

Rebecca Sullivan began dancing in her hometown of Vancouver, WA. A recent graduate of Chapman University, Rebecca studied
Dance and Organizational Leadership. While there she was fortunate to study with many influential professors, peers and choreographers,
in an eclectic array of dance disciplines including, modern, musical theatre, tap, ballet and jazz. She is currently on staff
at Thunderbird Dance Camp, a summer intensive for high school dance teams and receiving her Master's degree in Student Development
Administration at Seattle University.
Sandra Viall
Sandra Viall started dancing ballet at the age of five, studying primarily at the Maple Valley School of Ballet. At
Maple Valley School of Ballet, she studied under Claudette Krause, Marcia Quigley-Neal, Stephanie Spencer, and Jessica Hamblen-Klepper.
As well as studying ballet, pointe, composition, and modern, Sandra also participated in Maple valley School of Ballet's
Performance company, putting on additional concerts and participating in community outreach. She has also spent several summers
studying at Cornish with Patricia Hon, Terry Sparks, and Christine Juarez. Sandra founded Mattson Junior High School's Dance
Team where she choreographed, taught and performed.
Tukwila Zimmerman is native to Seattle, WA where she
recieved her BFA in dance from Cornish College of the
Arts. She has been dancing for over thirteen years
and is excited to be rehearsing and performing with
Chimera Dance Theater. Her past performance
experience includes dancing in pieces choreographed by
Lynn Simonson, Sheri Lewis, David Dorfman, Donald Byrd
and Wade Madsen. She is currently teaching and
choreographing at the Woodinville Dance Academy and
also enjoys choreographing for the Mercer Island Sound
Choral Experience.
Alice Madden (apprentice)
Alice started dancing at the age of five at the Pacific Northwest Ballet School. Since then she has danced at The Creative
Dance Center, Studio I, and Woodinville Dance Academy, where she currently studies. She has trained with Julie Martinez, Katie
Hubbard, and Sarah Lofgren in the disciplines of ballet, jazz, and lyrical. Alice also performs with Woodinville Dance Academy's
performing group called Inside Out, which has performed at events around the Seattle area such as: The Bite of Seattle, Whirligig,
and Velocity's Under Construction. Outside of the dance world, Alice enjoys playing soccer, eating chocolate, and making lists.
She was also a featured performer in Seussical the Musical.
