Biology is divided into 3- 9 week classes.
Biology A;
Biology B;
Biology C.
If you do not pass biology A, you will take biology B, and then biology C right after. Which ever sections you need to make-up
will be scheduled with your counselor for the next school year.
You will need a 70% on your biology tests in order to even be considered for passing! You get two chances to pass each test.
Home work/class work/and labs will be averaged into your test scores. An overall score lower then 68% regardless of test
scores will result in a failure. Most students who get a 70% or above on the tests do well on the work portion of the class.
WE HAVE HAD STUDENTS PASS EVERY TEST AND FAIL DUE TO POOR HOME WORK, CLASS WORK, AND LAB SCORES!!!!!!
Recap: 3-- 9 WEEK biology sections. Need all three to graduate-- if a section needs to be repeated that section will be
added to your schedule for the following year by your counselor. Tests must a 70% or higher. Home work/class work/ and labs
will be averaged into the test scores and can not be lower then a 68% overall.
