Notes from Pastor Thom - What's goin on.

It has been a rough couple of months, to quote a familiar quote, "It was the best of times…And it was the worst of times." In the first weekend of December we gave our daughter away in marriage to a wonderful guy and they we found out that my wife Kris’ sister had leukemia. It sure put a damper on our Christmas and then just a couple of weeks ago she passed away. Gratefully she felt no pain and the family was all there. That was tough but I am sure, in the long run it will be a blessing that we were there. She will be missed by a lot of people, her family tops the list..

Notes from Stu.. The Mabton GP and VMX event looms!
After putting up with the pain and anguish of surgery, recovery and then no racing for 4 months, I'm about to go absolutely stir crazy! To the rescue comes Raphael Racing and the first round of the Hammer & Tongs vintage MX series near the sleepy town of Mabton in Eastern Washington on February 24 - 25. The Grand Prix is Saturday at 1:00 PM with a full slate of Vintage and Evolution motocross on Sunday. Not expecting a lot out of myself but it'll sure be good to get out there again. Bringing the Yamaha IT125G for the X-Country and to defend my 100 class H&T title, my 1980 YZ100G. There will be plenty of sand but the weather promises to be clear over there. Can't wait to race!!

Racers and friends... As you explore our web site, you'll learn all about Pastor Thom and me: our interests and hobbies, the people in our families, the way we both strive to grow in the grace of our Lord, the various motorcycles we own, and more. We've included a list of our favorite links to other sites and every once in awhile we'll talk about some of our favorite passages from the Bible.

But on this home page, we'll introduce ourselves and discuss our reasons for wanting a web site. We might put a picture of ourselves on this page...or just racing pictures that we especially like.

We might also include more information about our personal history: where we grew up, where we went to school, various places we've lived, where we go to church. As we take new pictures, we'll include some of ourselves and our friends racing on the various tracks around or engaging in other activities we enjoy, such as another sport or hobby besides vintage motocross.
