She spent most of her life in Jackson County IL, but may have been born in Union County, IL. Her Gravestone is in an obelisk style, standing about 4.5 feet tall. John Wesley Jacobs' name is on the West side and Meriah Tope Jacobs' name is on the East side of the marker. Fungus growth nearly obliterates the information carved into the stone.
