Restored 1937 chassis and running gear. |
|
Chassis
The chassis was completely stripped via sandblasting prior to epoxy primer coating. Spring shackle hangers were removed,re-machined
true and then re-riveted. Tough rivets! Shocks were rebuilt, new front springs and rebuilt rear springs installed. Totally
new brakes and plumbing installed. Gas tank was "Renew(ed)". Radiator recored. Engine, clutch, transmission
and rear end were all rebuilt. Steering gear was gone through and rebuilt or replaced as necessary.
Chassis is now in a drivable state.

Another view, I'm not sure the colors are 100%. |

I just followed what already was there. |
Chassis
As luck would have it, the tires were brand new. They still have the mold tits on them. Wheels were trued as best I could
and then sandblasted and powder coated.

Even though from California, she suffered a lot abuse. |
Cab
This truck came from the hill area around Pleasanton, CA and apparently sat out under a tree for many years. Field mice lived
happily in their home in the cab roof where the windshield wiper motors go.

The cab has been baked to remove oils and undercoatings, then sand blasted and wiped down with metal prep. I'm now learning
the art of metal working as I fix the damage it's suffered since 1937.
