The Northwest Art
Center has just scheduled
their Spring and Summer 2009 Girl Scout
Badge workshops for Brownies and Juniors. Although we do offer Cadette workshops, those
need to be set up by troops. If you have a group that meets or exceeds the
minimum number of students needed to run a workshop, we’d love to schedule a
workshop for the day and time of your choosing.

To
run classes a minimum of students must sign-up. The minimum is 12 for Brownie
and Junior workshops and 8 for Cadette workshops. If you have enough girls you
can schedule any of the classes on date(s) of your choosing. We will need one parent/leader per five
brownies and one parent/leader per seven junior girl scouts. We have no pre-scheduled Cadette workshops,
however, if you have eight or more girls we can schedule one for the day of
your choosing. All supplies included.
Please note that some classes will fulfill
all the requirements for a badge and some will not. Classes will be labeled as either a “COMPLETE” or “PARTIAL” badge
workshop. A few classes will not
earn a badge, but will earn a “PARTICIPATION PATCH”. These workshops will
be more focused and will allow Girl Scouts the time to truly improve and expand
their artistic talent and knowledge. Troops are invited to create their own “PARTICIPATION
PATCHES” to adorn the back of the sash. Badges and participation patches will not
be included.
