"I was born in Chicago back in '35, and a short time later I discovered a camera in my hands. Since then haven't
been without one. I am entirely self-taught. That is to say: I owe my skills to three avenues of learning; -- Books. The
writings, insights, and photographs of others that have gone before me are considered indispensable guides. Books mark the
difference between vandals and poets. -- Experience. I've been at this for about 60 years, and I'm starting to get the
knack of it. -- The darkroom. It's in the darkroom where my vision is forged and refined, where the object in front of
my camera becomes an image intended to touch the heart and soul of the viewer.
Traveling through life is more fun with a companion, and I am especially fortunate to have my wife (Judy) as an indispensable
ally in every facet of our photographic journey. She has contributed in some way to virtually every photograph seen on this
website.
I'm more concerned about honing my vision and putting it onto a piece of paper than I am about making a Name for myself. But
I do enjoy creating images that touch people in some way. This website is designed to make my photographs visible and accessible
to the world. I offer two print styles; "Fine Art" prints, and simple, affordable "Debut" style prints, described here...

| And One Of Our Cameras |
Judy an I are about to take a picture of a 100+ year old grist mill one soggy morning near Woodland Washington. The 8x20 inch
camera was newly made by K.B.Canham of Mesa, Arizona, and is patterned after the large banquet cameras used in the early 1900's.
