It is very unusual to have many photos of the female members of a family, but few photos of the males.  However, this is the case with the Henry Emmons family.  Henry’s first wife, Ruth Ann Pierce, died in 1861.  No photos of them have yet been found.  Henry and Ruth Ann had three children, Charles H., Delia Ann, and Theron.  Henry married Margaret Ann Baker/Harris on March 16, 1868.  Margaret had been married before to Roswell Harris, who died in the Civil War on February 14, 1863.  Margaret and Roswell had six children, three died in infancy or young childhood.
