Every fall, peaking in mid-November, the sandhill cranes that summered in Minnesota and Canada make their way through
west-central Indiana before wintering in Georgia and Florida. This is where they congregate for several weeks.
It is truly one of nature's great spectacles! It was well worth the 100-mile trip from Middlebury.
