Ryukyu Kempo Kyu (or Ranks)

Within this system, you will progress through 11 Kyus (ranks or belts) starting with white belt as you progress to black belt. Click on the rank listed below to link to the kyu requirements.

11th Kyu - White Belt

10th Kyu - Yellow Belt

9th Kyu - Orange Belt

8th Kyu - Green Belt

7th Kyu - Green Belt with a Blue Stripe

6th Kyu - Blue Belt

5th Kyu - Blue Belt with a Purple Stripe

4th Kyu - Purple Belt

3rd Kyu - Brown Belt

2nd Kyu - Brown Belt with two Black Stripes

1st Kyu - Brown Belt with three Black Stripes

1st Dan- Black Belt
