He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, in 1998, and his son-in-law, Tony Schering.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at the VanderLaan Funeral Home, 4917 32nd Ave., Hudsonville. Burial will be in Beaverdam Cemetery.

Lois Van Harn, age 52, of Hudsonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at Hospice House of Holland.
Lois was a member of Wellspring Church. She retired from Zeeland Public Schools, where she was a bus driver for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald; and children, Stephanie Van Harn of Hudsonville, Dustin and Nicole Van Harn of Byron Center, Casey Van Harn of Hudsonville; grandson, Cannon Van Harn; mother-in-law, Lorraine Van Harn of Holland; brothers and sisters, Emma Schering of Kalamazoo, Miney and Cal Boetsma of Zeeland, Sue and Dave Brown of Zeeland, George and Jan Flokstra of Hamilton; many nephews and nieces.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Wellspring Church, 4466 Bauer Road, in Hudsonville. Pastor Gary Petersen will be officiating.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2011, at Wellspring Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.

Bernard Flokstra , age 85, of Zeeland, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 24, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Flokstra ; his children, Donald and Debra Flokstra , Jack and Michelle Flokstra , James and Barbara Flokstra , Tom Flokstra ; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Charles DeZeeuw; sister-in-law, Shirley and Bern Wyn. Bernard proudly served his country in the US Army in the Korean War.
