Age 18 in 1880 census. Found in Boston in 1900. Middlesex County, MA for 1910 - married 15 years - no children. Still in Middlesex in 1920, brother-in-law is with them.

Dr. William Waldo Knowlton [Parents] was born ¹ on 15 Mar 1871 in Camden, Camden County, New Jersey, USA. He died ² on 23 Jan 1915. William married ² Mary M. Hendricks on 7 Jun 1893.

William worked ³ as Physician in 1900 in Camden, Camden County, New Jersey, USA.

Mary M. Hendricks was born ¹ in Sep 1872 in New Jersey, USA. She died ² on 29 May 1956. Mary married ² Dr. William Waldo Knowlton on 7 Jun 1893.

Charles H. Knowlton [Parents] was born ¹ on 14 Dec 1894 in New Jersey, USA. He died ² on 27 May 1967 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, USA. He was buried in Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio, USA. Charles married Gretchen Ebert.

Charles worked ¹ as Highway Engineer, Asphalt Company in 1920 in Florida.

Whilst doing other things, and courtesy of some very helpful people with the Delaware County Genealogical Society (OH), I came upon Charles H KNOWLTON 1894-1967(Stocking 7384) and his wife Gretchen EBERT 1894-1976, buried in Greenlawn.

Charles H was son of DR William Waldo KNOWLTON (S. 6931) b. 1871 in Camden, NJ and married to Mary HENDRICKS in 1893. Neither of these two appears as interred in the Greenlawn plot which is shown as owed by "DAWSON & KNOWLTON"

DR William was the son of Charles Harrison KNOWLTON (S. 4881) b. 1838.

A very quick and dirty flip through Stocking & Errata seems to lead back to Daniel (S. 67) b.1688.

This is presented as a matter of interest only. I have no known connection to these people subsequent to Daniel, who himself --- in my records --- rather dangles there suspended in mid air as to his parentage.

There are a few more details which I will be glad to share. But, I have had no recourse to any of the censuses prior to Charles' death in 1967. The line may well have died out.

KNOWLTON Charles H. "Sonny" Knowlton, age 79, a lifelong resident of Upper Arlington, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was President of Central Oil Asphalt Corporation for over 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Anne (Nudd) Knowlton; sons, Stephen (Mary) Knowlton, of Troy, MI and Richard Knowlton, of Upper Arlington; daughter, Sandra (Victor III) Lipscomb, of Moore, SC; grandchildren, Victor IV, David and Jonathan Lipscomb, Lindsay Knowlton; sister, June Klages, Bexley, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Harrison, Sr. and Gretchen (Ebert) Knowlton. Sonny was a 1942 graduate of Upper Arlington High School, where he earned ten varsity letters.
