He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Jennie on June 29, 2008 and his brothers and sister, George Flokstra, John Flokstra, and Hermina Eisen. He is survived his children and grandchildren, Barbara Flokstra, Ruth and Tom Hill (Crystal and Jeremy Bakker and Chad Hill), Mary and Jack Capps (Nicole Capps and Brandon Capps), Roger and Ruth Flokstra (Melissa and Andrew Kinner, Elizabeth Flokstra, Heather Flokstra); brother, Bernard and Gloria Flokstra; in-laws, Fanesta and Rhine Lubbers, Henrietta Visser, Jessie Diekema, Alma Boeve, Delia and Clarence Wolters; many nieces and nephews.
