From the "Gens Nostra" article: probably Jacob Cornelis, b Oostwold around 1704, and married Oostwold 17-2-1734 Grietje Jans, coming from Faan. Possibly the first Mennonite family Pannekoek this couple descended. The oldest known members are the following (presumably brothers): Kornelis Jacobs Pannekoek, b ca. 1738, died. 1829, residing Niehove; Hoike or Huike or Heuke Jacobs Pannekoek, b ca. 1742, died. 1814, lives in Garnwerd and Derk Jacobs Pannekoek, died. 1836. Kornelis Jacobs is his first marriage of Hoogkerk and therefore would later adopted him Pannekoek name may derive from the location of Geert Hoykes on the border between Oostwold and Hoogkerk.

Raymond B. WICKENS, 78, R.R. 5, Plymouth, died at 3:35 a.m. today in Bremen Community hospital following a heart illness of 10 days.
Mr. Wickens was the son of John and Emma WICKENS and was born June 13, 1893, in Ellettsville. His marriage was to Bonnie M. SHERFIELD in 1912 at Ellettsville. She died in 1963.
Mr. Wickens moved to Plymouth 10 years ago from Indianapolis where he had been employed by the International Harvester company prior to his retirement in 1962. He also had been a stone-cutter for many years and was a member of the Victory Baptist church of Indianapolis.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Elizabeth) HAWKINS, South Bend; one son, John [WICKENS], R.R. 5, Plymouth; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Final rites will be in the Sunrise chapel at Plymouth at 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in the Maple Grove cemetery at Argos. The Rev. Darrel KRAFT will officiate. Friends may call at the Grossman funeral home in Argos after 1 p.m. Saturday until noon Sunday and at the church for one hour before services.

Bonnie Sherfield died in 1963. Bonnie married Raymond B. Wickens in 1912.
