Milton Ray Polmateer was born at White River, South Dakota.

The family moved to the Skagit Valley in 1942 where Milton graduated from Burlington-Edison High School.

He enlisted in the US Navy and was stationed in San Diego, CA for four years as an electrician.

He was married and had three children. Following employment with the South California Edison Company they moved to the Skagit Valley where they started a dairy farm in 1969.

Upon retirement in 1980, he moved to Rochester, WA and developed a mobile home park where he lived until his passing.
He enjoyed gardening and tractors.

Survivors include his brother, Floyd Sherman (wife Judy) Polmateer of Alaska; two sons, Gerald (Julie) of Coeur d'lene, ID and Lawrence (Kathy) of Moses Lake; one daughter, Roxann (Les) Clark of Mount Vernon; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grand daughter.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Floyd & Cora Polmateer; and his sisters, Leah Polmateer and Leota Brecht.

Visitation from 9 am until 12 noon on Monday, March 20, 2017 will be followed by funeral services at 1 pm at Hulbush Funeral Home, 281 South Burlington Boulevard, Burlington.

Interment will be in Bay View Cemetery, Bay View.
