Appointments
The first step towards getting the care you need is scheduling an appointment. We
try hard to make this quick, easy and hassle-free. When you call for an appointment, please let us know the specific reason
for your visit. If you have more than one problem, please mention this when making your appointment. This allows us
to set aside enough time for you to see your doctor.
There may be times when your doctor is seeing patients at MCFP and also is “on-call”
for emergency patients. Ask our receptionist to inform you if your appointment is scheduled during an on-call period.
In general, the earlier in the day you call, the easier it is to get an appointment
that is convenient for you. Please try to schedule routine physicals, well-child checks and PAP smears in advance. If
you cannot make your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible and no less than 24 hours notice.
Telephone Calls
When you call MCFP for scheduling press option 1.
If you want to leave a message with your physician please also press 1. When
calling for questions, a note will be taken and forwarded to your primary care physician. If your doctor is not in the office,
the doctor on-call will be notified of your call. If you feel your problem is an emergency, please tell the receptionist and
your call will be directed either immediately or that day to be handled.
After Hours Calls
Our after-hours service is designed for urgent or emergency calls that cannot
wait until morning. If you call MCFP after hours, our answering service will forward your call to the doctor on call.
He or she will work with you to determine the appropriate treatment or action. Routine calls, questions or prescription
refills are not handled after hours.
Prescriptions and Refills
Prescription refills are handled only during regular office hours, by calling
425-745-4750 Option 1. Please be advised
there is a 48-hour turn around for routine medication refills. We can serve you faster if you call your pharmacist
in advance for refills and try to anticipate your medication needs before weekends and holidays. The physician on-call
will not usually refill routine prescriptions after hours.
