Below: Cut by me from a piece of Tennesse agate I was able to trade for
while visiting Nashville in 2003.

Above: Priday Plume from Richardson's Recreational Ranch.
Located 11 miles northeast of Madras, OR. This material has not been mined for many years now and most collectors
have to pay a heavy price for thier specimens.

Tennessee Agate: Also obtained on the same trip to Nashville
in 2003. This piece was one that caught my eye and I had to have. It is an exceptionally clean piece. Much
of the agate in Tennessee is highly fractured, so finding a piece like this makes it even more valuable.

Amethyst from Argentina: Purchased at a rock show in 2002. I trimmed
the bottom so it would stand on it's own.

A 152 lb. boulder of jasper! It took my friend and I about 3 hours
of hard rock mining to get this out of the cliff face. After we managed to get it free, we then had to roll
it down hill, about a mile, in 4 inches of smow, to get it back to my truck. What we won't do for a rock.

Eagle Rock Jasper : See the spheres page! |
Below: This was the scene where we parked and hiked up the hill to obtain the large boulder of Eagle Rock Jasper.
It was only a mile up hill. The fun part was coming back down with the boulder and tools and 50 lb. back packs
filled with more pieces. Needless to say, we were a little tired by the time we got everything back to the truck.
