Your body is made of energy. Heavy, intense
thoughts such as anger, hatred, guilt or
jealousy can become dense, creating
blockages. Energy blockages can cause
disharmony in the physical body manifesting
as disease, pain or emotional issues. Reiki
is an ancient healing practice that
promotes wellness of the mind, body and
spirit by balancing your individual "life
force energy." ANYONE can learn how to use
Reiki for self-healing and the healing of
others.
This class is for those interested in
personal wellness. It will empower you to
practice Reiki on yourself, and allow you
to share Reiki informally with family,
friends and pets. Professionals such as
Massage Therapists, Bodyworkers,
Chiropractors or Nurses can add Reiki to
their practice as a complementary therapy.
We will discuss energy basics, the benefits
of Reiki, meditation as a foundation for
healing, intention, ethics and developing a
Reiki practice.
Participants will receive the Level One
Attunement and Certification. Time will
be provided for hands-on practice. The
program will include a lunch break. We will
use Tina Zion's book Reiki: A Teacher's
Manual which is available for purchase at
Catalpa Tree Shops.
