Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam,
Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home.

Red Tulips Blooming In 2004

The red tulips Scott and I planted last Fall actually came up!  We had one bunch of the pink tulips also come up, but the one bloom on them did not open this year.

Miniature Purple Dutch Iris

We transplanted these miniature Dutch Iris from our woods to this location near the top of our driveway.  They add a nice soft touch to our flowers along the edge of our natural area in front of the house.

Pink Azalea Blooming In Natural Area

This pink azalea in the natural area in front of our house is covered in delicate pink blooms every year.  When it is in full bloom it almost looks like a pink ballon because you can't see any of the green leaves.

Bee On White Azalea

Our white azalea looked absolutely beautiful this year.  Usually the last freeze of the year (around the end of March in our area of NC) kills the blooms.  This year it bloomed a couple weeks later.  The bees sure were happy!
