There was a meeting of the City Council Flood Committee Tuesday
(Aug 28th) in the City County Building. Several neighborhood groups attended to object to the project. The City explained
how they benefited from the floodwall and disclosed future possibilities that would further enhance their neighborhoods.
Several Woodhurst residents as well as officers and board
members also attended to represent our needs. Many thanks to those who interrupted their daily schedules to attend.
A small article appeared in Wednesday morning's paper and
said, "The city expects to receive its state permit for the project this week and put the project out to bid on
Sept. 12. Work could begin this year and be completed in 2008."
