Ron Pownell established the BETH Foundation after the death of his daughter, Beth Ann Bowser. On December 17, 1997, a teen driver who had owned a drivers license for only 33 days killed Beth. This teen driver, illegally passing cars in "0" visibility fog hit Beth’s car head on and killed her instantly. This family tragedy has led Mr. Pownell to speak out about the importance of safe teen driving in his attempt to "Bring Every Teen Home."

The Foundation currently provides a guest speaker program to schools and civic organizations throughout the Midwest and Florida. This presentation includes the personal testimony by Mr. Pownell in hopes of reaching teens with this "real person" perspective on safe driving decisions.
