Victorian Doll house

This doll house is an original of my own design. It is 39 inches wide, 43 tall and 24 1/2 deep. Dimensions were selected so that the doll house would pass easily through any doorway in my home.

A lesson learned. I once built a doll house and then moved and found that the only doorway in my new home, through which it would fit, was the garage door.

I built this house for my best girl friend, my wife of 52 years this June. A Doll collector and a collector of doll furniture.

It has 4 rooms, an entrance foyer and hallway on the first floor. 4 rooms and hallway on the 2nd floor. The third floor has a very large attic room and a tower room. Staircases from floor to floor. All exterior and interior doors are hinged. Has 34 windows, 9 are double hung and both sash open. 12 are stain glass and there is 12 that are leaded. 1 that is octagon shaped.

The outside of the house has been completed. The inside has 2 front rooms on first and second floor, plus the tower room to complete. All other rooms, halls and staircases are done. The house is completely wire for 12 volt lighting in all areas.

Just a couple of interesting pieces of furniture, of the many that my wife plans on putting into the house.
