Tony Leung Chiu-Wai is perhaps best known in the US for his roles in the arthouse films of Wong Kar-Wai. He is
widely acknowledged as one of Hong Kong's best actors and also has a successful music career (see CantoPop) as well.

Chow Yun-Fat (L) and Tony Leung (R) |
John Woo's "Hard Boiled" was probably the picture that introduced Tony Leung to American audiences. He plays an
undercover cop who has infiltrated the triads. Chow Yun-Fat plays the 'hard boiled" cop who helps Tony's character bring down
a ruthless arms dealer (Anthony Wong Chau-Sang) . The dramatic show down in the hospital at the end is
not to be missed.

Favorite Movie
My favorite Tony Leung movie is "Tokyo Raiders". Tony stars as a private detective/cop in Japan who teams up with
Ekin Cheng (who plays a private detective posing as an interior decorator) to protect an heiress. Jingle Ma (director) and Ailen
Sit (martial arts coordinator) have crafted a fun and exciting movie that makes Tony and Ekin look great in the
action scenes. "Tokyo Raiders" spawned a sequel in 2005 (minus Ekin) called "Seoul Raiders" (see my review).
