He was listed on the Ship's manifest as a laborer. James was on the same Ship as a man named William Alston (age 26), possibly kin to Andrew Alston, the father of Emma Marie Alston who married James' son, William James Duckworth. | |

Their daughter is Josephine, age 4, born in Illinois. Their son is Adam, age 2, born in Illinois. James & Polly owned 137 acres of land located on the southwestern side of the road at the corner of what is now State Route 13 and the Ziegler Mine Road between Coulterville and Tilden, IL (per Clifton Duckworth, b. 1942.)
