at Fort McHenry. He was discharged on 31 Aug 1848. He worked as a shoemaker
when he enlisted in the military. He had red hair (military records).
Jacob married Sarah GREGG, daughter of Edward GREGG and Nancy DOTY, on 17 May 1849 in Marshall County, WV. Sarah was born on 27 May 1830 in Virginia. She died on 25 Jun 1859 in Adair County, MO.
