Some of my prized projectors

DSCN0049.jpg

Here is a projector unlike any other, because it was the only one ever built.  A 1934 Victor Animatograph model 20 Special 16mm projector in a solid crotch-walnut case.  This projector was custom-built for J. Ben Carsey, who was president of Humble Oil Company (now Exxon) at the time.  I have all of the documentation on this one, including a letter from A.F. Victor to J. Ben Carsey about this projector, with the serial number mentioned in the letter.  Also have the complete set of 12 lenses, 8 different size polished aluminum Goldberg reels, the owner's manual, and the original cloth power cord in like-new condition.  I could go on and on on this one, but your brain is probably full by now.  My most prized projector!  Value?  Probably several thousand dollars.

Here we have a 1922 Pathe "Baby" 9.5 mm hand cranked projector with it's Pathe "Baby hand cranked camera.  About as mint as you will find anywhere; not a scratch or flaw on either the projector or the camera.  Also have the case, owner's manual, power cord, spare lamps, and, as seen in the picture, the accessory drive motor,  for the projector.  Also have the accessory reel arms to view reels instead of the cassettes.  Considered one of the first projectors to use safety film instead of the highly flammable nitrocellulloid film.  Have a whole bunch of movies for this one, and is actually fun to use.  The projector usually goes for about $150.00-200.00, and about the same for the camera.  The case, manual, spare lamps, motor, reel arms, and mat with the projector will of course make that amount about double.
